１．Ars inventing drone warfare is terrifying, holy shit.
アルスがドローン戦を生み出すなんて恐ろしすぎる。
マジかよ！
２．In my opinion, the toy maker guy is probably the most “terrifying” out of all Ars companions. Not because he’s powerful or having OP magic/skill, but rather because his invention is actually reshaping the entire war. He’s kinda like the “Einstein” of this show, I won’t be surprised if further down the story he’s starts building rocket powered magic and dropped nuke into the enemy.
個人的には、アルスの仲間の中で一番「恐ろしい」のは、あのおもちゃ職人だと思う。
本人が強いとか、とんでもない魔法やスキルを持っているからじゃない。
彼の発明が、実際に戦争そのものを変えてしまっているからだ。
この作品の「アインシュタイン」みたいな存在だよ。
この先、ロケット推進の魔法兵器を作って、敵に核爆弾を落とすようになっても驚かないね。
３．Seriously what is up with this guy’s engineering skills. Last time he was working on steam power but now he’s invented freaking sonar
マジでこいつの技術力はどうなってるんだ？
前回は蒸気機関に取り組んでいたのに、今度はソナーまで発明しやがった。
４．The airship from before, now the surveillance drone for scouting purposes, with a literal radar system, now that’s really revolutionary and terrifying. With Ars utilizing his past life experiences and the technological benefits of 21st century pairing with Shin’s ingenuity, nothing is impossible, which could make Anisphia Wynn Palettia so proud (yes, I just felt real MagiRevo vibes with this episode). Yeah, Ars entered into the Hall of Fame of the overpowered isekai protagonists with this one and that durable armor which saved his life in battle. As for the next episode, finally some unfinished business is about to resolved soon.
以前の飛行船に続いて、今度は偵察用の監視ドローンだ。
しかも本格的なレーダーシステムまで搭載しているなんて、革命的だし恐ろしいよ。
アルスが前世の経験と21世紀の技術知識を活用し、そこにシンの発想力が加われば、もう不可能なことなんてなさそうだ。
アニスフィア・ウィン・パレッティアも誇らしく思うだろうな。
今回のエピソードは、本当に『転生王女と天才令嬢の魔法革命』を思い出させたよ。
今回の発明と、戦場で命を救った頑丈な鎧のおかげで、アルスは異世界ものの最強主人公たちの殿堂入りを果たしたな。
そして次回は、いよいよ決着がついていなかった問題が片付きそうだ。
５．We know of Pham’s disguises, but I wasn’t expecting Pham’s right hand man with the bandana to be able to make disguises of people and act like them too, I feel that got brushed a bit too easily for how crazy of an ability that is in this war. I don’t even know bandana’s guy’s name. It’s nice that Borotz realizes how much of a threat Ars is and what he has the potential to become, but it sucks he also realizes the people around Ars are big threats too. Things are going to get tougher for Ars. The day Ars gets an actual wound in battle, I fear what would become of Reitz.
ファムが変装できるのは知っていたけど、バンダナを巻いた右腕の男まで他人に変装して、その人物になりきれるとは思わなかった。
戦争ではとんでもなく強力な能力なのに、ずいぶんあっさり扱われていた気がする。
そもそも、あのバンダナの男の名前すら知らないんだけど。
ボローツがアルスの脅威と将来性を理解したのはよかったけど、アルスの周囲の人間まで大きな脅威だと気づいてしまったのは厄介だな。
これからアルスにとって、ますます厳しい状況になりそうだ。
アルスが戦場で本当に傷を負う日が来たら、リーツがどうなってしまうのか怖いよ。
６．They just need to train more drone operators and weaponize some of them and drone warfare will start, and only one person will own that tech, which will make Ars incredibly strong. If they also manage to add offensive magic to the drones you have an automated magic battalion. Scary stuff Ars brought to this world.
あとはドローンの操縦者を増やして、一部を武装させればドローン戦が始まるな。
しかも、その技術を独占しているのはアルスだけだ。
とんでもなく強くなるぞ。
ドローンに攻撃魔法まで搭載できたら、自動化された魔法部隊の完成だ。
アルスはこの世界に恐ろしいものを持ち込んだな。
７．It’s all medieval fantasy and then you’ve got a DRONE.
完全に中世ファンタジーの世界なのに、そこにドローンが登場するんだぞ！
８．I don’t envy Borotz. If it’s not artillery fire courtesy of Shin’s new drone, it’s a flash flood courtesy of Musia that drains most of your troops. How could anyone have foreseen or responded to this? But, points to Borotz for taking Ars head-on, even if it meant charging directly at him…and points to Ars as well for actually managing to land a hit! Thank goodness for Rietz’ armor though so we didn’t lose our MC in his first real fight. Yep, Ars and his OP crew are definitely a massive threat. Can anything stop them though? “The end of Vasmarque” – Wait, seriously!?

シンの新型ドローンによる砲撃を受けたかと思えば、今度はムーシャの鉄砲水で兵士の大半を失うんだから。
こんなの誰が予測して対応できるんだよ？
それでも、アルスに正面から突撃したボローツは評価したい。
そして、実際に一撃を当てたアルスも見事だった！
リーツの鎧があって本当によかったよ。
初めての本格的な戦闘で主人公を失わずに済んだからな。
アルスと規格外の仲間たちは、間違いなく巨大な脅威だ。
でも、彼らを止められるものなんてあるのか？
「バサマークの最期」って、えっ、本気かよ！？

７．If we take the Irma-Kun route you can just stop the plot for no reason to have a half season long music festival and half season long idol show :D.
『魔入りました！入間くん』方式でいけば、特に理由もなく本筋を止めて、半クールかけて音楽祭、さらに半クールかけてアイドルショーをやることだってできるぞ！
８．When in doubt: go for a Honey Trap. Especially when Pham can so effortlessly pull off playing a sexy, high class, lady. But don’t get too handsy, especially around the thighs, or you’ll get a little surprise in the middle of said thighs and get choked out for your troubles. Ractor, you had a good thing going, but being too cautious and concerned about a promotion drove you to make the biggest blunder of your military career and practically hand all you Aqua Magia to Canarre. Also, maid Pham! Pham, you are worth every coin! Even if Ars needs time to collect all the coins he owes you.

思わぬものに気づいて、そのまま首を絞められる羽目になるかもしれないから。

慎重になりすぎたうえに出世を気にした結果、軍人として最大の失態を犯して、アクア・マギアをほとんど丸ごとカナレ軍に渡してしまった。
それにしても、メイド姿のファム！
ファム、お前には支払う金貨一枚一枚の価値があるよ！
たとえアルスが報酬を全部用意するのに時間がかかるとしてもな。
深い考察系
１．He represents basically what happen with the Greek example we had a steam engine over a thousand years ago they just didn’t see it as anything but a toy. I always kind of like this trope because it’s real it’s raw looking in the past you find hudnreds tousands of example of inventions that were an arm lenght away from being something that revolusinized the world but instead we had to wait another 100 years or so for someone to bridge that gap.
彼はまさに、古代ギリシャで起きたことを体現しているような存在だ。
千年以上も前に蒸気機関が存在していたのに、当時の人々はそれをおもちゃ程度にしか考えていなかった。
こういう展開は昔から結構好きなんだ。
実際の歴史でも起きていたことだからね。
過去を振り返ると、世界を変える発明まであと一歩だったのに、そこにたどり着かなかった例が何百、何千と見つかる。
そして、その最後の一歩を誰かが埋めるまで、さらに100年ほど待たなければならなかったりするんだ。
２．It is a drone, but the same thing could have been accomplished with a hot air balloon and human observer. Artillery was sighted from balloons in WWI.
確かにドローンだけど、同じことは熱気球と人間の観測員でも実現できたはずだ。
第一次世界大戦では、気球から砲撃の着弾観測をしていたからね。
３．Man, stealing that stock aqua magia was so good. It reminds me of Battle of Red Cliff when Pang Tong tricked Cao Cao into chaining their battle ships.
いやあ、備蓄されていたアクア・マギアを奪った作戦は見事だったな。
赤壁の戦いで龐統が曹操をだまして、軍船同士を鎖でつながせた計略を思い出したよ。
４．TBH when is the last time we saw this show used an archer lol? Arrows do fuack all vs plate armor and there seems to be no shortage of metal armor in this world. Archers would be a waste of a battlefield unit here and magic seems to have completely replaced the role of ranged damage. Shield wall is a TERRIBLE idea here. It’s a defensive tactic to by time, stall, exhaust the enemy, etc. Ars is on offense, shield wall is not a good option. As far as Cavalry go? The terrain Cavalry didn’t really have a good spot to be used. River behind, forest to either side. Not much room to maneuver in and with every soldier mattering holding them back to try and get a flank that will likely never happen could also be a big mistake. Even in a Total Warhammer game getting a good use of Cavalry here with these troops compositions would be difficult. You’d almost certainly still end up with Cavalry vs Cavalry and then the messy melee afterwards. As far as spear line goes, that only really works for the defenders. That’s something the enemy general maybe should have done. And the real answer here is prolly “PACING”. A spear line is a defensive move to stop the cavalary charge and this would have required a 3-4 scene back and forth to resolve and the show aint got time for that. The Cavalry clash is also much more cinematic and likely to happen afterwards anyways lol.
正直、この作品で最後に弓兵を見たのはいつだったっけ？
この世界では金属製の鎧が豊富みたいだし、板金鎧に対して矢はほとんど役に立たない。
だから弓兵を戦場に出しても無駄だろうし、遠距離攻撃の役割は完全に魔法に置き換わっているようだ。
それに、今回の状況で盾の壁を作るのは最悪の選択だよ。
盾の壁は、時間を稼いだり、敵の進軍を遅らせたり、疲弊させたりするための防御戦術だからね。
アルス側は攻撃する立場だから、盾の壁は適していない。
じゃあ騎兵はどうか？
今回の地形は騎兵を活用するには向いていなかった。
背後には川、両側には森がある。
自由に動き回る余地がほとんどないし、兵士一人ひとりが重要な状況で、実現するかもわからない側面攻撃のために騎兵を温存するのも大きな失敗になりかねない。
『Total War: WARHAMMER』のゲームでさえ、今回のような部隊構成で騎兵を有効に使うのは難しいだろう。
結局は騎兵同士がぶつかり、その後は混戦になる可能性が高い。
槍兵の横隊についても、基本的には防御側でこそ効果を発揮する。
むしろ敵の将軍が採用すべきだったかもしれない。
ただ、今回の本当の理由はおそらく「物語のテンポ」だろうね。
槍兵の横隊で騎兵の突撃を防ぐ展開にしたら、決着までに3～4場面ほどの攻防を描く必要がある。
この作品には、そこまで時間がないんだろう。
それに騎兵同士の激突のほうが映像として迫力があるし、結局その後に起きる可能性も高いからね。
５．The entire premise of the show is that central authority is waning thanks to a puppet emperor & corrupt ministers (one of which we saw last season, who didn’t give a single shit that Missian was trying to seek independence, and just wanted his money). Which is why these territorial conflicts are erupting one after the other.
そもそも、この作品の基本設定は、傀儡の皇帝と腐敗した大臣たちによって中央政府の権威が弱まっているということだ。
前のシーズンに登場した大臣の一人なんて、ミーシアンが独立しようとしていることにはまったく関心がなく、金のことしか考えていなかった。
だからこそ、領土をめぐる争いが次々と起きているんだよ。
６．At first, I bristled a little bit at the enemy general trying to kill Ars since the entire point of this fight was his boss wanting to claim Ars for himself. But they brought it around at the end of the episode with the general thinking just how terrifying Ars and his entire retinue is. He realized that they couldn’t win, and that if Ars isn’t taken now, he’s going to keep growing into a bigger and bigger threat. He tried to take Ars off the board now because he’d rather face his governor’s ire than see him inevitably destroyed.
最初は、敵の将軍がアルスを殺そうとしたことに少し引っかかったんだ。
そもそも今回の戦いは、将軍の上司がアルスを自分のものにしようとして始めたものだからね。
でも、エピソードの終盤で、将軍がアルスとその家臣たちをどれほど恐ろしい存在だと考えているのかが描かれて、納得できたよ。
彼は、自分たちにはもう勝ち目がないこと、そして今アルスを排除しなければ、今後ますます大きな脅威になることを理解したんだ。
だから、将来確実に滅ぼされるくらいなら、領主の怒りを買ってでも今のうちにアルスを始末しようとしたんだね。
７．originally he just flew over with the drone, and measured the string, used the pythagorean theorem that ARS provided to figure out how far away they were. But they cut that part out and added bullshit sonar instead.
原作では、ドローンを飛ばして糸の長さを測り、アルスが教えたピタゴラスの定理を使って距離を計算していたんだ。
でもアニメではその部分を削って、代わりにわけのわからないソナーを追加してしまった。
８．There was a strategy, its called the entire rest of the episode. They weakened them, isolated them, and destroyed their morale and then attacked them with a far superior force. As you saw it was a very one sided battle thanks to their preparations and superior fighting force. What more do you want lol? They had a limited amount of time to engage them and inflict serious damage before they could just cross the river again. Flanking or hammer and anvil or ambush was not an option, enemy is gonna see your army coming. Any attempts at a clever engage here would only weaken the strength of your own army. They still had some of that magia fluid stuff left to defend vs bombardment thanks to the quick decision making of the enemy general so bombardment wasn’t an option. There are countless things they could have done to chip away a little bit more of their army, but this was their best chance to just completely decimate the army. Nothing else was going to do as much damage as a full on army vs army conflict while they were in a weakened state. It was a golden opportunity and they took it.
ちゃんと戦略はあっただろ。
今回のエピソードの残り全部が、その戦略だったんだよ。
敵を弱体化させ、孤立させ、士気を打ち砕いてから、圧倒的に優勢な戦力で攻撃したんだ。
見てのとおり、事前の準備と優れた戦力のおかげで、一方的な戦いになった。
これ以上何を望むんだよ？
敵が再び川を渡ってしまう前に交戦して、大きな損害を与えなければならなかったから、時間は限られていた。
側面攻撃や、敵を挟み撃ちにする「金床とハンマー」の戦術、待ち伏せなんて選択肢にはならない。
こちらの軍が近づけば、敵に見つかってしまうからね。
ここで下手に凝った戦い方をしようとすれば、自軍の戦力を弱めるだけだっただろう。
敵の将軍が素早く判断したおかげで、敵には砲撃を防ぐためのマギアの液体がまだ少し残っていた。
だから砲撃も選択肢にはならなかった。
敵軍をもう少しずつ削る方法なら、いくらでも考えられただろう。
でも、敵軍を壊滅させるには今回が最高の機会だったんだ。
弱体化した状態の敵に対して、軍同士が全面的にぶつかる以上の損害を与えられる方法はなかった。
絶好の機会が訪れて、彼らはそれを逃さなかったんだよ。
感動・共感系
１．Oooh, that was an excellent use tactics. Loved every second of it! The enemy taking their fort was not planned but relying on Fam to figure out how to destroy their Aqua Magia supply was spot on (and of course we got Haruka Tomatsu as his voice so got to make full use of her range!) Combining his previous life’s knowledge and Shin’s engineering to make a survey drone, giving them long distance vision The Mage Squadron and Charlotte used their power to whittle down their magic shields, forcing them to retreat or be sitting ducks The dam Musha built in episode 2 was destroyed as they foolishly used the same river to retreat, dropping their forces down to 20,000 Then in a 1 on 1 battle, their forces could not hope to defeat Rietz, Zatt, and Braham And finally in a last ditch effort, Borots rushes Ars who anticipated this and purposely took an attack to severely wound his dominant hand Everyone made a significant contribution, which is what makes Ars’s Team so deadly. And we haven’t even seen Licia “battle” yet!
おお、これは素晴らしい戦術の使い方だった！
最初から最後まで最高だったよ！
敵に砦を奪われたのは想定外だったけど、アクア・マギアの備蓄を破壊する方法をファムに任せたのは大正解だった。
もちろん、ファムの声を担当する戸松遥の幅広い演技力も存分に生かされていたね！
アルスの前世の知識とシンの技術を組み合わせて偵察ドローンを作り、遠距離の視界を確保する。
魔法師団とシャーロットが魔法の防御を少しずつ削り、敵を撤退させるか、何もできない標的にしてしまう。
そして敵が愚かにも同じ川を使って撤退したところで、第2話にムーシャが建設したダムを破壊し、敵兵を2万人まで減らす。
その後の一対一の戦闘では、敵兵がリーツ、ザット、ブラッハムに勝てるはずもなかった。
最後の悪あがきでボローツがアルスに突撃するけど、アルスはそれを予測していて、あえて攻撃を受けることで相手の利き腕に深手を負わせた。
全員が重要な役割を果たしたんだ。
だからこそ、アルスのチームはこれほど恐ろしい。
しかも、まだリシアの「戦い」は見ていないんだぞ！
２．It was cool to see ars other retainer shine this arc and see there potential From musia Braham and zatt To this episode of fam and shin I especially seeing that even though things have changed between fam and ars things stay the same Like the absolute trust fam has in ars And the fact that ars doesn’t downplay or dismiss the fact that the work he has them do is difficult and dirty And yet they show each other respect and care and that in turn extend to the other mercenary Though look like ars may go broke before long 😂 Ars truly has come along way from the boy who tried to act brave for the battle field but couldn’t stomach a solider death He very easily could have die there but had faith in reitz armor
今回の戦いでは、アルスのほかの家臣たちも活躍して、その可能性を見せてくれたのがよかったよ。
ムーシャ、ブラッハム、ザットに続いて、今回はファムとシンの出番だった。
特によかったのは、ファムとアルスの関係が変化しても、変わらないものがあるところだ。
たとえば、ファムがアルスに寄せる絶対的な信頼だね。
そしてアルスは、彼らに任せている仕事が困難で汚れ役でもあることを、決して軽く扱わない。
それでも互いに敬意と思いやりを持って接していて、その姿勢がほかの傭兵たちにも広がっている。
ただ、このままだとアルスは近いうちに破産しそうだけどね😂
アルスは本当に成長したよ。
かつては戦場で勇敢に振る舞おうとしても、兵士の死を直視できなかった少年だったのに。
今回も簡単に死んでしまう可能性があったけど、リーツの鎧を信じていたんだね。
３．The shy girl who was afraid she couldn’t fight just killed a few thousand troops with magical hydrological warfare. I love this show. Where certain other shows have their troops fighting directly outside of their fortifications for no conceivable reason other than not wanting to portray a siege, it’s so nice to see beyond-line-of-sight artillery strikes, observation drones/blimps, freakin’ magical radar , honey pot traps, sabotage beyond enemy lines, before the inevitable calvary charge. Mmm.
戦えないことを恐れていた内気な少女が、今や魔法を使った水攻めで数千人の敵兵を倒してしまった。
本当にこの作品が好きだよ。
ほかの作品では、攻城戦を描きたくないという以外に理由もなく、兵士たちが要塞のすぐ外で戦っていることもある。
でもこの作品では、視界の外からの砲撃、観測用ドローンや飛行船、魔法のレーダー、ハニートラップ、敵陣の背後での破壊工作まで描いてくれる。
そして最後は、避けられない騎兵の突撃だ。
いやあ、いいねえ。
４．Self-fulfilling prophecy. Kid just wants to live a peaceful life and do right by his people, but the enemy, fearing his greatness, force him into it.
まさに自己成就的予言だな。
この少年は、ただ平和に暮らして領民のために正しいことをしたいだけなんだ。
なのに敵は、彼の偉大さを恐れるあまり、結果的に彼を戦いへと追い込んでいる。
５．Good god, tactical warfare with magic involved is always such a treat when it’s done excellently. World Trigger is my premium example, but this is also really good.
いやあ、魔法を取り入れた戦術戦って、うまく描かれると本当に面白いよな。
自分にとって最高のお手本は『ワールドトリガー』だけど、この作品もすごくいい。
６．They did it! I never had any real doubt in my mind our boy would be able to pull it off. He’s got one hell of a team.

アルスが攻撃を受けながら敵を斬りつけた場面も面白かったし、マギアの強奪作戦も、洪水を引き起こした作戦もよかった。

８．I’m glad the war was so overwhelmingly in favor of Ars and co. His crew is so elite anything less would’ve felt like bad writing. It’s hard to imagine Ars losing a battle after this, only insane tactics could defeat him now.
今回の戦いが、アルスたちの圧倒的な優勢で終わってよかったよ。
あれほど優秀な仲間がそろっているんだから、これ以下の結果だったら脚本に無理があると感じただろうね。
今回の戦いを見たあとでは、アルスが戦争に負ける姿を想像するのも難しい。
もはや、とんでもない奇策でも使わない限り、彼には勝てないんじゃないかな。

理論：自己成就的予言（Self-Fulfilling Prophecy）
理論の説明：
ロバート・K・マートンは、1948年の論文『自己成就的予言』で、人々の思い込みや予測が、その後の行動を通じて現実になってしまう仕組みを論じました。
自己成就的予言とは、最初は誤っていた状況の認識が、人々の行動を引き起こし、その結果として当初の予測が現実になることです。
マートンは銀行の取り付け騒ぎを例に挙げています。
本来は経営に問題のない銀行でも、人々が「この銀行は危ない」と信じて一斉に預金を引き出せば、本当に経営危機に陥る可能性があります。

At first, I bristled a little bit at the enemy general trying to kill Ars since the entire point of this fight was his boss wanting to claim Ars for himself. But they brought it around at the end of the episode with the general thinking just how terrifying Ars and his entire retinue is. He realized that they couldn’t win, and that if Ars isn’t taken now, he’s going to keep growing into a bigger and bigger threat. He tried to take Ars off the board now because he’d rather face his governor’s ire than see him inevitably destroyed.
最初は、敵の将軍がアルスを殺そうとしたことに少し引っかかったんだ。
そもそも今回の戦いは、将軍の上司がアルスを自分のものにしようとして始めたものだからね。
でも、エピソードの終盤で、将軍がアルスとその家臣たちをどれほど恐ろしい存在だと考えているのかが描かれて、納得できたよ。
彼は、自分たちにはもう勝ち目がないこと、そして今アルスを排除しなければ、今後ますます大きな脅威になることを理解したんだ。
だから、将来確実に滅ぼされるくらいなら、領主の怒りを買ってでも今のうちにアルスを始末しようとしたんだね。

アリストテレスは『ニコマコス倫理学』で、具体的な状況において何をすべきかを適切に判断する知恵を「実践知（フロネーシス）」と呼びました。
