1.Really solid adaptation, paint me surprised! Some really beautiful backgrounds and the action looks snappy and smooth. Yeah you can see where they’ve cut a few corners here and there but that’s normal, if they’re able to keep this level of quality throughout the season this is gonna be a really good show, this is already way better than I expected for a relatively small manga.
2.The premise itself is over the top ridiculous. The entire art direction makes the pink blood more suitable than red blood imo. The animation felt often cheap and they didn’t hide that they have cut corners, but the rest is quite nice and I’m looking forward to the next episode.
3.Holy shit a lot of adaptations what I think is niche manga lately surprising me なんてこった。
4.Well this is batshit insane enough to keep watching.
5.Never seen an assassin in a wheelchair before. Bro actually looks menacing with the hockey mask and blades. It’s interesting he’s totally unresponsive unless there’s killing intent directed at him. He’s moving on pure instinct. W sis, though. She’s going everything she can to help “fix” him. Really liked this one. Pretty cool premiere episode and a good amount of action and gore too.
6.I wasn’t expecting something so vibrant, but this looks pretty good!
7.This anime probably has the most bizarre premise that I am giving a try, just because the ML is being voiced by my favorite seiyuu, Koki Uchiyama.
8.Well, that’s a weird one. The Gorilla Grodd and Mr. Freeze copies really threw me off.
1.The author saw someone call Combat Wheelchairs in D&D stupid and said “bet”.
2.you cant fool me this is a suda 51 game disguised as a anime lol
3.Did Pepto Bismol sponsor this one?
4.Literally anime version of the game Anger Foot, but now it’s Anger Wheelchair ただし今回は『Anger Wheelchair(怒りの車椅子)』だけど。
5.Did anyone else glance at the title of the anime and for a split second think that Tank Girl the Animation was made?
6.I have to say the new “Splatoon” game is looking a little more adult then the previous ones, a bold choice from Nintendo. for the most part this is watchable and kind of has my interest, but holy shit WTF is with the splatoon blood effects?
7.Also tank chair for a name but its an assassin show xD
8.If Nagi was a good assassin, he should’ve started wearing a helmet before getting comatose. So bloodlust not only temporarily wakes him up but makes him even stronger which is thanks to Shizuka ragebaiting targets & their henchmen like Goro. I guess Shizuka gets money as a bonus to help her & Nagi live.
1.I think it was still an artistic decision in a way. They could have chosen to be more graphic, which would have lead to the images being blurred due to censorship. Instead they chose to go with bright pink splashes which really calls attention to the brutal, graphic nature of what is happening. This was not something that was on my radar at all but the premier was so strong both visually and with the way the premise was set up, I can’t not watch this. The whole concept is so twisted and yet I can’t help but root for that little girl and her half comatose-half, bad-ass assassin brother. Also, I need to know more about the gorillas that can talk and use weapons….how that happened was never addressed.
2.Yeah the pink blood really added to the absolute absurdity of how the show felt, which I think is to its benefit. It’s pretty crazy how much I feel like the blood color would change the tone of the whole thing. I think that tonal shift would force me to sort of suspend my disbelief more about how ridiculous and kinda stupid the core conceit is, but the way it is here it makes it easier to roll with, if that makes sense.
3.I mean, i think that the hope is — every time, his mind “sticks around ” a little longer. I think Shizuka thinks that the more an enemy wants to kill Nagi and project their murderous intent onto him, the more that will help her brother Nagi recover. Up to this point however, we haven’t seen this “treatment” bring him very far. I believe his mind slipped away almost immediately the battle, which is not a promising result of this twisted treatment plan.
4.I checked out this series because of the soundtrack music in the trailers. I think the music is quite IDM and acid techno. Maybe someone can respond to that as I’m not that familiar with electronic music genres. The composer follows Aphex Twin on IG in addition to 2000+ other accounts. Check
(https://www.reddit.com/r/autechre/comments/1w8zepq/skopje_gig/p86pd3f/) for more. I brought up Max/MSP because that’s quite associated with IDM. Oh, IDM is a heavy influence on Chainsaw Man and I’d say the recent Doom games as well (Richard Devine helped with the 2016 OST and I’ve seen Tweets about Autechre from Chad Mossholder the sound designer), to give you an idea of why the Tank Chair OST is like that.
5.Really entertaining action show with great art direction. It had a bare minimum but interesting plot and premise; it seems like adrenaline from fear activates his brain to take him out of his vegetative state. They told the origin story pretty quickly and it was wall to wall action! The fight scenes were excellent and stylishly animated, I wonder if the gorilla people actually all have bright pink blood or if that was a stylistic choice. I liked the part when one of the apes pointed out theyre safe from a wheelchaired man since they were on a high level and I’m glad they addressed that; that makes me think of the Daleks on Doctor Who who are supposed to be in indestructible metal shells but they are on small wheels so a small staircase can stop them from chasing you 🤣 They got around this though by having the wheels have spikes apparently strong enough to hold an armored wheel man that weighs a ton. This show seemed more like it came from a Western superhero comic than a manga.
6.The gore could’ve been more. But I otherwise really dig this. The pink blood fits the colorful visual really well so even if it’s uncensored, I hope it stays pink. Kinda weird that in the flashback scene, the dead piles behind Nagi had red blood though. Animation is pretty solid. Especially smooth for fight scenes. You can really feel the weight on Nagi’s arms when he pushes mk 7. The music is trippy, it’s weirdly fitting for the bizarre mood, I hope there will be heavier scores eventually though. Overall, pretty close to the manga. Can’t wait for more 🥺 残酷描写はもっとあってもよかったけど、それ以外は本当に気に入ったよ。
7.This anime looks like an amusing collage of Friday the 13th, the Paralympics, and the video game Let It Die from Suda 51. The choppy Berserk 2016 animation actually lends to the video-gamey charm of this show instead of taking away from it. This is like my own Temu Gachiakuta.
8.Polygon Pictures is the studio behind Ajin, Sidonia, Estab Life, they stay true to their name and in many works you can see the polygons. It is divisive and not for everybody, it helps if you can filter it out and focus on the story, many are very interesting, but if not, there is only the option of reading instead.
1.The moment where Nagi shuts down mid-conversation with Shizuka actually got to me. It feels like somebody with Alzheimer’s experiencing a fleeting moment of lucidity.
2.Yeah this is insane enough to cover the superficial entertainment, but it’s good that it’s also showing a lot of genuine feeling
3.So far (and it’s only been one episode, in fairness) it is balancing genuine emotion and batshit insanity quite well. Kinda reminds me of Dorohedoro.
4.Interesting premise and I’m all for it! Nice little tearjerker when Nagi powers down at the end of the episodes and vegges out again – it makes sense that there’s only so long he can really be active and with it without killing intent directed at him.
5.This is pretty good so far. Imouto is a hardcore troll to the baddies lol. I feel kinda bad for her. She loves her Bro and they seem like they are very close. Sucks she doesn’t get to enjoy their relationship properly anymore.
6.Ok, that ending actually made me want to see where this is going. I’m a bit ambivalent on the artstyle but the action was solid. Also I do agree the neon pink blood kinda adds to the whole vibe of the show.
7.This was a lot funnier than I expected. And I dig the 3d art style Altho it also hit way harder than I thought like..
8.Readin the description seemed fun. Only halfway through but the cgi looks really natural to me thats a first. Was expecting to instantly drop this but im loving it Imagine every time u regaine consciousness your about to be killed and you havent to instantly tell if its your sister waking you up to or if its people actually tryna kill you. It knows what it is and its done perfectly imo 11mins in hope it keeps up funny af
